General Care

All of our jewellery is made from high quality precious metals. To keep it in the best possible condition, avoid direct contact with water, perfumes, lotions and cosmetics. We recommend removing your jewellery before showering, swimming and exercising.

Store your jewellery pieces individually in the cotton pouch provided to stop them rubbing together and scratching. This will also help limit exposure to direct sunlight which can cause jewellery to dull over time.

Silver and gold are soft metals. This means minor dents and scratches, especially in larger pieces of jewellery, are inevitable. This is not a defect but a sign of normal wear and tear. Over time, scratches will blend into one another and become less visible.

Silver

All of our silver jewellery is stamped with ‘925’. This signifies that it is made from sterling silver.

Our silver pieces are treated with anti-tarnish solution and plated with rhodium, a precious metal from the platinum family. This provides our silver jewellery with added durability and helps prolong its shine.

Naturally, the anti-tarnish treatment and rhodium plating is likely to wear with time. Should your silver jewellery begin to tarnish, use the polishing cloth provided to restore its shine.

Gold vermeil

Our gold vermeil jewellery is made from sterling silver and finished with a thick coat of at least 2.5 microns of 14k or 24k gold. As with any plating, the gold may wear off over time depending on usage and care. A professional jeweller will be able to replate your pieces and restore them to their original condition.

To clean your gold vermeil jewellery, gently buff it with a soft, dry cloth. We do not recommend using polishing cloths that have been treated with chemical agents.
